Hand Knit in Nepal since 1985. These items have been designed and hand knit exclusively for Lost Horizons in Nepal by women who are artisans of their trade, initially receiving instruction and assistance in the art of knitting from the British Peace Corps in Nepal. Lost Horizons first began working with one small workshop and a group of 25 women in 1985. The number of women who are supported by Lost Horizons has grown tremendously over the last 30 years. Today they work with more than 800 women and have a total of 8 workshops. Your purchase directly contributes to this cottage industry and provides a valuable source of income to these women.
